2500 size reel

Hi lads going to buy s 2500 size fixed spool reel to match my new 5-20g lure rod for soft plastic fishing. I need a reel to suit the set up any can anybody can recommend a suitable reel ? will sped about €50 on the reel thanks

Daiwa procaster 2500 not a bad reel at around your budget, also a Daiwa Sweepfire also within budget. The Procaster would be the higher spec of the two.

Id choose the Shimano Catana 2500. Or the Exage. There is a new model of the Exage just released, you might get a good deal on the one being phased out

look at the Penn Battle a cracker of a reel it also comes with a spare alu spool, you might have to spend a little bit more but well worth it :wink:

Henrys Tackle had a couple of Mitchel Mag Pro reels to clear recently. Only €60 and they are a cracking reel. He might not have any left, but it would be well worth a look.

Have to agree here the battle is great.
The Surecatch unity 30 is slightly bigger but superb too ( no spare spool though)

I have a couple of cantanas and can't fault them for the price. They come with a second spool which is handy.

Hi lads I'm out here on holidays in Mallorca & bought a shimano catana 2500 €45 for my soft plastic fishing have also bought a okuma 7' 5-20g rod last week back home. Thanks for all the advice lads
