Two of us fished Clogherhead from kayaks on Tuesday evening - not a bite. Heading out again on Friday into an incoming tide so hopefully something positive to report.

Just a thought but why don't any of you try float fishing,at least if there is no mackeral about you could pick up garfish with all this good weather there should be a good few about, the same tactic will get mackeral if they are about, save the effort of lashing out feathers all day for nothing ,at least ye might get something for your time spent :D

I normally float fish for them, much better in my opinion, and as you say you can target more species, even a few pollock.

The excitment of seen your float sink is brilliant.
