smock/wet gear advice

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

I got the greys a while back not to impressed with it , letting in rain now and material not holding the waterproofer. IMO .

If its something for summer check out "climb8",they are an irish company based in mayo I think.Have used their smock whilst bait gathering in awful conditions and bone dry everytime, decent prices too.Its not the flashiest of garments but who cares so long as it keeps you dry.Ive mine two years now and still going strong.
The sundridge smock is a fine smock but too warm for the warmer nights of our summer but perfect for winter.

The old Imax Smock in lime green & navy is excellent.

Agree on the greys MK2 - will leak after time.

Abu Garcia - terrible

Plenty of non fishing brands to consider if just for the summer. Find pac-lite jackets very handy, sturdy enough to keep you bone dry yet fold away to nothing into a ruck sack.

I can't fault the climb8 gear...
I've these waders, lightweight material, reinforced knees and back on them, neoprene socks on em...
they also have a simple overtrousers for €24...
also to note, I slammed the van door on the closing buckle for my waders- they posted me a replacement for free......
