skerries??

did anyone ever catch anyting up around skerries there were the lifeboat house is just around them islands that area there well were the pier is but too the right off the rocks never been up here before so dont know what its like

used to fish it when I lived in North County Dublin. To be honest I wouldn't waste my time there as it tends to be a summer mark for Mack and the odd pollock but you have to contend with masses of dudes with telescopic rods, massive weights that are steaming on cheap lager.......... :evil:

Appart from that its grand....!

The odd time I fished it was at night with lug at the end of the pier. Only a few small fish such as flats and small pollock.

Oh and I forgot to mention the seals.......

Fished off the Harbour in January at night time to see of there were any Cod Whiting around! Not even a bite for 2.5 hours fishing. Not much around up there!

Skerries is only good for mackeral and mackie bashers

Fish the back of the island at low tide and leave the muppets on the pier :D
