Hi all,
i was doing a little research and it seems to me that the Penn 515 and 525 mag and the American version the Penn sql 12 and 15. Has anyone got experience with these reels and how do you rate them?
The reason i ask is im going to the states in a month or two and have sen the Penn sql for $116 which works out at 87 Euro, compared to the prices i have seen here for the mag 535 175 Euro it seems like a saving i cant miss out on.
Cheers.

Re: Penn sql12 or 15?
Hi I bought the penn sgl15 just before Christmas from a us site. Paid €135 including postage it's the exact same as the 525 mag 2. The SQL 12 is the same as the 515 mag 2. I have used it a few times & it casts great with a fast retrieve very happy with the reel as I have saved €40 plus travel to the tackle shop. Remember it's the exact same reel just called a deferent name in the us.
