Not really landed any strange items but did have a penn venom rod and new 525 whipped off greenpark youghal by a big ugly herring gull,i never saw either of them again.
Although last night i landed a flounder and found it hard to work out which part of the fish was its underside as it was camaflagued top and bottom v weird.

Last night from the carpets a few of us reeled in what looked like fish guts and entrails in one piece... Strange :!: but there was a dredger tied up and it was on the flood... Any ideas Lads..

Was fishing of the Pier in Currabinny and caught a lobster..... about 2 hrs later I started reeling in and the weight on the other end was kiting around and pulling in the ebb tide, i got it to the surface, and it turned out to be an big old earthenware pot and the hook had caught in a crack in the side, and when I lifted it up to unhook it, there was a 3 lb lobster curled up in the pot :-)
blanked the competition, but had 2 lobster... happy days :-D

When I was younger fishing the rivers,I was sure I was after catching a record breaking salmon.I was shaking bringing it in until I got it to the bank and it turned out to be a football sock filled with mud.I shed a little tear.

Last year, fishing for cod off dungarvan. There wasn't much going on Kev next to me gets a take and and then I get a take.We thought we had drifted over a few fish.Turns out the cod had taken both baits.Greedy bugger.
