one of the galway boys were out there a few weeks back .flounder1957 i think is his site name he got good results off the beach in spiddal flounder and dogs off the pier check out his posts more info there. good luck.

Two of us fished the dropping tide on silverstrand last sunday night, small coalfish is all we got, no flats which was odd!

Yeah fished there few weeks ago and like dan said got dogs off the pier and flats off the beach during the day also fishid there thurs night on the outgoing tide and caught codling (20cm) flounder coalies hope this helps
