Protect the magical sport of sea angling and spread the word that conservation is the way forward. Put fish back!!!!

Interesting article John, thanks for posting the link. Definitely think reserves would be a big step forward in conjunction with other measures. It's one of the many problems related to overpopulation and declining natural resources that needs co-operation and leadership at a global level. Awareness is the first step though so it's good to see it being discussed in media etc.

thanks for posting, good article, even if it's a little bit disheartening :(
these are the hard truths... something drastic needs to be done, the writing is on the wall and can't be ignored, the world's population of fish is in serious trouble and needs to be adressed before it goes the same way of the american buffalo, hunted into near extinction.

In a slightly unrelated to fish way we can all actually help stem the decline of global fish stocks by limiting the number of children we conceive. We're at 7 BILLION already and I don't think the planet's resources can withstand much more.

I've got a daughter and a baby on the way - my partner's due on Dec 26th '12.

However, God willing our child is born safely we're going to stop at 2 children - who's with me?

its obvious that fish stocks are suffering the same sickness as our country its called money whoring !!!
