North Dublin Sea Trout Season and License?

Hi,
I am wodering when it is legal to fish for Sea Trout and can i buy a License/Permit for the Noth Dublin Area anywhere?

Hi Colin,

You can purchase them online. Think it's the Blackrock Office that do up your licence. Opens 1st Jan and I think closes early October but prob best to check the website for specific dates

Should say, I think the Dublin district stretches from Rogerstown Estuary to down near Arklow somewhere.

How can you get them in advance of the season opening on the 01/01/2013?

Well, I assume there not "open" on New Years Day. Don't the rules say you have to have the license in your possession, that a receipt is no good?

Been told people get them as Christmas presents. So that's that!

Lads on the subject of sea trout has anyone tried fishing for them with mackerel strip in north Dublin? Ive heard it works in Donegal and other places in the west so presume it would work here too. I bought the licence last year and never even got any in Dublin. In fairness though I just kept fishing Rogerstown and the water was dirty a lot of the time later last spring. Not sure whether I'll bother this year. Was thinking might be worth getting one for Drogheda district to fish Boyne estuary. Anyone know is the estuary there good early in the season?

sent an e-mail to fisheris dept. Got a reply stating licenses are not yet available as rules have not yet be drawn down
for the 2013 season! But expect them to be agreed upon at the end of December.
