No macs the last two weeks out in howth. On another note, I met two nice guys who fixed me up with some free bait, but by god they were very poor. Keeping wrasse 7inches and above? That's just madness. Bag about 10 by the time we left! Grrrrr

30 odd landed yesterday up in fanad...still plenty about..decent sizes too

Thats the 1 there was 1 other lad there but he got none was in blackhead at around peg 60 and got 12

Got about 15 yesterday around kinsale off the rocks seen good shoals of them and 4 dolphins chasing them

Dozen Caught In Cobh today! :shock: and last night apparently they were there in Numbers Wow!
Species 2011 (25) :Cod 80 , Whiting 50 , Coalfish 42 , Sea Scorpion 6(3shortspined/3longspined) , (3b)Rockling 2 , Dogfish 72 , Flounder 32 , Bass 2 , Poor Cod 16 , Dab 16 , Ballen Wrasse 2 , Turbot 1 , Tompot Blenny 3 , Smoothhound 1 , Tub Gurnard 1 , Mackeral 78 , Pollock 10 , Corkwing wrasse 2 , Black Goby 5 , Pouting 4 , Cuckoo Wrasse 1 , Ling 1 , Conger eel 6 , Silver eel 1 , ( Year End 31st October )

i know there still catching a few off the pier in ballycotton when the weather is anyway fair..there in numbers sometimes & very patchy other days :D

I had a few while fishing for bass last week in waterford. Were chasing sprats to the shore!
