Finally managed to get out for a few short sessions in the 2 days i had down on the jersey shore.
Was lucky enough to fit in 5 x 3 hr sessions.
Got plenty of fish on every session except the one night session where we tried for striped bass, unfortunately still a bit early in the season for the area we were fishing.
Most of our fishing was lure fishing with soft plastics for fluke( flounder), with one or two sessions looking for a bit of anything such as bass.
I ended up with 32 fish over the weekend including Fluke to 54 cms, 20 x "sea bass" , some unusual "pufferfish" and two species of "sea robins" which are simular to our gurnards.
Had a great time, especially with the big fluke on the light abu rod i bought, weird to get a flat take line for a change!
Few pictures to show what the species were like, didnt get a picture of the biggest flounder unfortunately.
Great weekend, bring on the next session when i get back!
