starting sea angling

Hi all iv just started sea angling im a course angler and was out in greystones at the pier and caught a small tope, doggies and whiting, i cudnt believe i got a tope off the pier it was bout 8 r 9lb bu what a fight any tips on wer id get nice fish like the 1 i got.

Are you sure your tope wasn't a smooth hound did it have teeth?

Ye it had teeth and a long pointy nose so im sure it was a tope i thought it was a smoothhound at first but another angler said it was a tope aswell mate

thats great to catch a tope from the peir well done im only new to sea fishing also . are u limited to shore or have u access to a boat.

thanks lads Ye it was great to catch 1 goin to fish same place nxt week bu want to try some different venues this autum and winter any tips would b appriciated.

Anywhere further south past Arklow seems to be fishing well

Thanks jhcabs and mark my brother has a boat bu it needs a bit of work done to it so wont get out on it til nxt year
