Float fished mackerel head
I read in an angling book somewhere once that float fishing a mackerel head over rough ground is good for bass. Freezing a few mackerel heads now so I can try it sometime. Anyone ever try it?

Re: Float fished mackerel head
Hi
This is often a common tactic in winter where you need a big ugly scent laden bait for anything to have a chance to find it... can use it on a zip sliders or on the float. Super tactic for bass on some beaches, had two bull huss on it on Fanore around the rocks, many years ago, would never have expected to find them there...
