Lot of weed still on Ballyquin, just about fishable over low tide but as the tide pushed in a mass of kelp drifted in from the west making it totally unfishable.

Fished the ferrypoint earlier left after one cast the weed was so bad. the beach looked clean but there could have been a lot of weed in the water, that was the case with ferrypoint anyway

Also tried youghal for a while last night, last hr of ebb no weed or fish  ,the flood brought mounds of the stuff and as the wind picked up it became impossible to hold bottom with 200grms.Did find a trace with remains of a schoolie bass and doggie at the hw mark,so if anyone wants to claim a 5oz breakaway lead and 2 size 2/0 kamasan b940 i have them in my box  Oh a few coalies turned up just before i went home after 2hrs
Tried to fish behind the carpet factory but the gates were closed again.

Weed made fishing very difficult, bordering on impossible, at BB tonight.
