The idea is to carry out some scaffolding at LW to a sand bar in a bay down in Kerry (about 300 yards from the shoreline. Set up the scaffolding to required height and fish off it over HW. I know its a silly idea but it gets you thinking all the same.
pretty silly really
What are they going to secure it to?
salt water erosion!
do you swim off it if the weather turns bad ?
I doubt this guy was on the beer when he came up with this idea

The Ground.
Would take 10 years to erode a scaffolding bar. Hammorite !!!
Were deadly swimmers down here in Kerry.
Comes with an optional mini bar (Delux model)
Expect to see it in a veals mail order catalogue soon !!!!
Tell the genius who came up with this plan he may as well drill for oil or gas while he has his scaffolding up Could catch on and he could charge punters € 100 a day to fish it as long as they have safe passes and hardhats, boots and hi viz jackets
it would be great if it worked mate
but i just dont think it would and id say it would p**s a lot of people off
but there's no harm in dreaming

i see a couple of problems
1 scafolding is very shaky even when fastened to a house
2 scaffolding needs a stable ground (what happens when the sand under the scaffold moves away)
3 if the scaffold became unstable and the idiot on top of it fell in the water with planks and poles swirling around into him
4 if tide comes up higher than expected
5 the sea is a evil b*****d that shows no mercy and should not be messed with
6 the power of water in the area could lift the scaffold even with a fat idiot on top
answer = sell scaffold buy a boat and ancor off beach
Like I said at the start, not my idea. I cannot give the persons name for legal/copyright reasons.
Think of all the spare scaffolding there is at the moment, builders will be constructing these all over the coast . . . Must tell my friend to get down to the patent office immediately

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh noooooooooooooooooooo someones been messing with my calander, they put tippex over part of todays date, making the 11th look like the 1st. There was me trying to play an Aprils fools
It just might put the spot on the map
and make a few pounds when someone passing thinks its a
holy apparition... there looking at when they see some man walking on water
its obviously the idea of someone who truly DOES NOT understand the power of the sea!!!
