Cullenstown is hard work at the moment, but if you keep mobile and try a few spots you should be able to get a fish or two. Have had a few sessions up that way now with Rob McClean and it,s all 1 or 2 fish for a session. Not many fish but they are a decent size (36 - 40cm). I don't know the marks on the Slaney, so can't help there.
Lads is there a ban on fishing in Lacken and Cullenstown this time of year? only asking cause was thinking of fishing it last week and when doing a search on it say something about a ban from nov - jan??????
Wish list for 2015: sword tail, black Molly, horny cobbler
I don't think there is a ban. There is the odd angler about the place. The fish will be heading off to spawn soon so handle with care and 100% c&r and you will be ok.
