wexford flounder.

Thinking of heading out for a few flounder.Would i be better off fishing
down in Cullenstown or up the slaney any help would be great :)

Cullenstown is hard work at the moment, but if you keep mobile and try a few spots you should be able to get a fish or two. Have had a few sessions up that way now with Rob McClean and it,s all 1 or 2 fish for a session. Not many fish but they are a decent size (36 - 40cm). I don't know the marks on the Slaney, so can't help there.

hey goldfish17 ive had good sized flounder up to mid 30 cm of the beaches around courtown and arklow if you dont mind the occasional rockling 8) 8)

Lads is there a ban on fishing in Lacken and Cullenstown this time of year? only asking cause was thinking of fishing it last week and when doing a search on it say something about a ban from nov - jan??????

I don't think there is a ban. There is the odd angler about the place. The fish will be heading off to spawn soon so handle with care and 100% c&r and you will be ok.

was in courtown today for an hour or 2 and got a small dab on mussel and got a flounder 31cm on razer and in close,so worth a bash :D

behind the rubgy/gaa club in katts strand it your only man plenty of fish to be had to crab baits on a rising tide and first 2 hours of the ebb
