Akios Website with casting Vid

At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!

whats the main difference between these reels and current abu 6500's? have the gears been improved? they look very similar apart from the knobby brakes? :?:

me and paddy were down the beach today casting them , just fishing casts 150grm lead nothing fancy , but they feel alot better than any current production abu reel 8) they cast amazing straight out of the box , the gears feel silky smooth and more posative than an abu , and the carbon drag is very nice , i would rate these as the best value for money fishing reel on the market right now ,
and because they are only new time will tell how they wear etc .
dont just listen to the "copy and paste " merchants , we have used them and they are fantastic take my word 8)

The Akios 656 CTM,,,,what a reel!!
as AG said straight out of the box they are perfect and ready to cast, with brass endplates that give a very solid feel,,they just scream quality and with zero play in the gears, which is a really nice touch.
For the money these reels are the best multis out there and im sure will stand up to the test of time..
More tests to follow.....

Another little update,, a few of us hit the field yesterday for a couple of hours, we had a fairly strong cross wind so we were not expecting to be hitting anything big but after 3-4 casts on 175g/0.35 using my 7ht Turbo i managed to hit 219m, then i tried the Akios 656/CTM on mag setting no4 of 13 and with one brake block,, new reel straight out of the box with no tunning i hit 211m  Again it preformed flawlesly,, what a reel!

Short vid to follow:
