Re: penn mag lovers
I have been seeing £250 about

But im thinking it was for a prototype which was being sold on a well known auction site.
525's are great would love to see these up close.

Re: penn mag lovers
the reel looks nice but the mag control looks like a pain in the hole.. tbh I dont really get on with the 525mags all that much..
I will see how it compares to the daiwa 7ht mag or even the 7ht turbo. in my opinion two of the best multi fishing reels i have used. Good fast retrieve and smooth casting.

Re: penn mag lovers
I Dont think you can compare the 7ht to the 525 the original 525 is prob the best shore multiplyer ever made, Absolutley bullteproof very little maintence will happily haul trebles of dogs with balls of weed attached all day long, The 7ht's are great for clean beach work but couldn't match the 525 for heavy duty stuff IMO..

Re: penn mag lovers
I don't get on with the 525 at all, The 7ht mag imo are the best multi reels out there and i do fish alot of clean ground. I use fixed spools for weed and dirty ground because of the faster retrieve, coupled with 80lb braid. This (imo) makes for a better set-up rather than messing about with a max of 25lb mono on a multiplier. I actually think the 525 makes for a better boat reel.
