five mile point 16/4/10 invasion of the dogs....

#1 Post by sea serpant »

people: me an me mate vino

time: 7.30pm-3.30am

tide:out then flooding

weather: lovely a little nippy later on

bait/rigs: 1/2 hook cliped flappin, lug,rag,peeler,sandeel

results : 1 dab 1 codling and more dogfish than id like to remember   :x

It was a beautiful day and my mate vino picked me up around 6 an we set off towards killoughter. On arrival we found the road into kiloughter was inpenetrable due to pot holes  and my mates van wasnt up to it so we backtracked a bit an settled at five mile point. It was a beuatiful evening and the tips start nodding straight away :) but wat else could it be than the biggest invasion of dogfish id eva seen in a fishing session   there was just no missing them baits would literally hit the sea bed and they were hooked :x that continued all night with me even landing 2 dogs on a pennel hook an more than 1 occassion .It was hard to tell if there was anything else in the area as the dogs were on absolutely every bait we put out  although i did manage a nice dab and small codling before the night was finished  ah well it was nice to get out :D

the first one or two of them is fine but after an hour or 2 they can become a real pain in the h**e especially when they wont let anything else have a sniff at your bait :x and they can really make a meal of wrecking your rigs  but it was stil a lovely night and better thatn weed or blanking so i shouldn be complaining  so far i haven blanked this year touch wood it only gets better :D
