Re: batteries
i found most brands of rechargeable batteries are similar what you need to look for when you are buying batteries is the mAh rating, the higher the rating the longer they will last,i think the highest rating in the aaa is 1250mah

Re: batteries
The Lidl ones are ok, but they are not the highest mAh rating.
For high quality batteries at a cracking price buy the 7dayshop own brand batteries. You can get 1100mAh AAA and I think they also have 2800mAh AA's. Both at about stg£4 for 4. I have several sets of each and they are an excellent battery.

Re: batteries
That seems decent enough John. I have 1800mAh Tronic batteries from lidl and I don't rate them. They dont seem to have that much power and don't hold a charge for very long.
While I'm at it you get very cheap USB memory cards from www.7dayshop.com as well.

Re: batteries
i have a tronic charger ,it flashes red if a rechargeble is knackered ,i had over 15 aaa ,s and over half ove em needed binning (energizer and uniross as well as aldi and lidle!)the aldi rechargebles are ok but you can get the odd dud in a new set (happened to me twice!)if you are using 3 good aa,s and one dud they are gonna seem crap
but for 4.99 for 4 aa,s who,s gonna moan
a good intelligent charger is a sound investment as it drains the batteries before charging and cuts off when their full and tells you if you have a dud
what you using aaa ,s in wayne ,they dont hold much power for a headlamp had to change my lenser over to aa ,s now i get two or three sessions out of it instead of changing the batteries halfway through a session

Re: batteries
get a battery pack off an old headlight that takes aa and get out a scissors and soldering iron, the rest is trile and errror i used a blob of hotmelt to seal up around the wires where they enter the battery compartment, why they insist on aaa is beyond me for the weight saved the extended light is worth a few extra oz,they are good headlights for the money

Re: batteries
I work for a distributor, and i get all my batteries from them - durracell procell batteries. They are industry standard batteries therefore generally last longer than regular shop bought ones. They retail at €8.99 for 10 aaa batteries.
