I was down in the Dingle area a couple of weeks ago and had a go for the tope and stingray from Tralee bay. It was a great day out, the weather was brilliant but there was no fish showing which was a pity. My partner got a bass which made up for the disappointment of there being no tope and he was able to hold his head high knowing that at least he didn't blank in the session, unlike me.
It was my first time fishing for them and I think it may have been abit too early.
I'll give it a go again sometime and see what happens. I'd love to get either a tope from the shore or a stingray. The fight they give you must be amazing. :)
