Rosslare, County Wexford, May 21st 2009

#1 Post by jd »

People: Jd,Stephen and Hugh were fishing

Duration:8 pm-11:15pm

Tide: out at 9.30pm

Weather: Pleasant, some clouds

Bait:Peeler

Rigs:Pulleys
Results: I got one common smut

Report:
A few of us went down after dinner, with stephen, hugh and I setting up a rod each. Not much to report, but two spider craps appeared in the surf. Not sure where they were going!
The others left, leaving stephen and I fishing on... At about 10:45 or so I got the hound of about 4 1/2 pounds, came in quietly until he got in close!
Went back home then, stopping in the premier for chips..

The Premier. You're makin me homesick here what I wouldn't give for a bag of their chips and a few battered rissoles.
Well done on the smut. I'm heading down in a few weeks so I hope there is a few about. I've only ever caught pups I'd love to get one of that size.
