Youghal strand
Is youghal strand fishing and if so what baits are working and what is been caught.

Sandeel did the job the other night when I fished there , I also had a few on lug . 
If I'm not gonna catch a fish , I may aswell not catch a BIG fish !

The word "strand" might have confused you. It's the main beach in Youghal also known by the locals as the front strand. Turn left at Summerfield Cross and drive into the car park to the west of clay castle the beach is in front of you.basslover1 wrote:Anyone tell me how to get to youghal strand i live near midleton???
When you find it use the small car park to the left as the main car park is used nightly by the local "Boy Racers" .
If all fails as someone at home.

Here Geordie, get Jackie to enter you in for gods sakes, some company would be good, I'm the only one from Crosshaven fishing it....
If you start fishing Youghal Strand at 10.30, I guarantee you will have died of boredom long before the rest of the lads turn up...
