Youghal strand

Is youghal strand fishing and if so what baits are working and what is been caught.

sea:flounder,whiting,rockling mackeral,dogfish,weverfish,turbot,pollock,cod,coalies,codling
fresh:rainbow trout,brown,trout

Sandeel did the job the other night when I fished there , I also had a few on lug . :!:
If I'm not gonna catch a fish , I may aswell not catch a BIG fish !

Munster Open Shore been fished the next Sat. so there won't be any space there.
Specimen Fish 2024: Shore Rockling (3) 36cm, 34cm, 31cm; Thick Lipped Mullet (2) 58cm, 57cm; Smooth Hound (1) 109cm; Sting Ray (1)125cm; Ballan Wrasse (1) 48cm ; Corkwing Wrasse (1) 24.8cm. Golden Grey Mullet (2) 43cm, 1.8lb; 40.6cm, 1.55lb;
Total species boat/shore: 45

The word "strand" might have confused you. It's the main beach in Youghal also known by the locals as the front strand. Turn left at Summerfield Cross and drive into the car park to the west of clay castle the beach is in front of you.
When you find it use the small car park to the left as the main car park is used nightly by the local "Boy Racers" .
If all fails as someone at home.

iam going to youghal strand on sat morning 10.30amtill 7pm i see theres a comp on so will you be peging around me , :twisted:

Here Geordie, get Jackie to enter you in for gods sakes, some company would be good, I'm the only one from Crosshaven fishing it.... :D If you start fishing Youghal Strand at 10.30, I guarantee you will have died of boredom long before the rest of the lads turn up... :D
