Kicked the weekend off with a bang with a cracking 8lber on friday afternoon, he took the lug option on a lengthened florocarbon snood (thanks for the tip Cortaz )
Went back down to reality on saturday afternoon with a blank
Didnt get out again till late on sunday night and fishing was tricky enough with a lot of weed floating about covering up the baits, but found a clear patch and got a couple around 1am. Both bass on a ledger set up.
Surf was pretty weak on monday afternoon and didnt get a bite from a bass
Put in a lot of hours and may have expected more with a southerly wind and good tides, wind was possibly not strong enough to create a decent surf.
Might have another go this afternoon though

nice fish was my name on his back? take it was you who was to the left of the car park sun. nite?, we were to the right on the main beach, there was 7 fishing only 3 bass. did you see the baskin shark? it was in the surf yesterday am. i walked to within about 30/40 yards, looked about 15ft. would have made a nice picture.

I saw all cars + the lights on the beach at castle end so decided to try Shanleys instead, that was full of weed so went back to the castle end around 00.30,fishing left of the carpark, everybody seemed to be gone then.

lovely bass there figs i"d saw he put a fair bend in your rod pitty it didnt produce a few more like that over the weekend for you,
