Report:well cortaz couldnt have it got it closer with his prediction (see my last report) I was sceptical because conditions were far from ideal and the most ive ever had from here were five so i didnt fancy my chances of any more than that..arrived traditionally late for a saturday morning..hard week at work..... first two cast 2 ray....good start...then weather got very blustery and did I not get a fish for an hour..then one small one at the turn of the tide then next cast blank on each rod..time for a change i thought...out came the squid next 3 casts 3 ray....one of these had a really strong bite but when i took it it was snagged solid...didnt want to lose it because at this stage cortaz's theory was looking possible so did the age old trick of giving the fish slack line and putting the rod down for 5 minutes...worked a treat because when i took it again the fish had freed and move off down tide..tide was getting too strong and ground was getting very snatchy at this stage so i took in one rod and began packing up being very pleased with myself ..turned around to be greeted with a rod half in the water and tripod knocked over(it was so windy i didnt even hear it falling!!!) strong fight ensued and landed the biggest of the day 4-4.5lbs...absolutely delighted with the day and in truth if i had fished a little better and a little longer i reckon ten fish would be a very achievable target!!!
Interesting point on the squid really got the fish back on the feed and with instant results..one cast couldnt have been in the water longer than 2 minutes....
Thanks to cortaz aswel had i not the motivation to test his theory i wouldnt have fished today when i looked out an saw those winds this morning!!!
Btw the next time i head out im fishing somewhere else these reports are getting a little repetitive lately
