very easy to tie:
hook: grubber/ buzzer size 8 to 12
thread:black or yellow
body: white floss
rib: fine gold or silver wire
you basically build up the body with the floss till its fat in the middle and thin at the tail. the head is also built up but with thread instaed of floss. when its done 3 coats of varnish is applied (allow to dry between each coat). you can vary the colours of the thread rib and floss. i was asked a few years ago if i was fishing maggots in rathbeggen, co meath, as it was fly fishing only. i had to produce the fly in the hut!!
