Absolutely superb, I take my hat off to both of you. For the time and effort put in and distance travelled you deserve every success. You're a shining light for bass fishing in this country and an example of why we should put every effort into preserving the recreational fishery that we have. Well done!!!

Thanks seanie, it was the best fishing holiday we have ever had, it'll take some beating but we'll try 8) Hope there's plenty of action down in Waterford still for you.

Great to see so many caught on lures this early in the year.
What weight was that big fella in the first photo (the Bass I mean  )

It was great to catch more bass again Frank, thanks.
We where lucky that we had nice weather when we were down which allowed us to go out plugging as we both wanted to try out new plugs we had bought.
  What weight is the big fella in the first photo? - We didn't weigh it but it's gotta be close to specimen weight. Its the fattest one he's ever caught that's for sure!
What weight do you think it is?

ecoastbass wrote:Brilliant Bass.hing K1/2. I can't wait for the silver bars retun. Plugging is the most exciting fishing method for them. Is this is Grauvell rod on the pic?

Thanks ecoastbass. Hopefully it won't be long until they make a return for you. I agree that plugging is a very exciting way of fishing for them but I still love bait fishing for them too.
The rod in the picture is the new 8ft Savagear XLNT Bushwhacker rod which casts between 15 - 50g. It's the first time we have had the chance to use it since buying it and we would reccommend it to anyone who is into plugging for bass. A brilliant wee rod that allows you to cast your plugs out with ease from the smaller ones right up to the bigger, heavier plugs & lures that are out there.
