flounder rig question

When fishing for flounder using 1oz or 2oz leads, does anyone use a swivel at the bottom before the lead clip to stop the line twisting as the lead rolls around or is there any need for one. The ball leads i use have swivels in them but im after getting 2oz pyramid leads without swivels so should i add some?

I use a wessex type rig when searching for flats ,with a snap link/swivel combo to stop line twist and add movement I search among the coarse fishing leads to find leads with added swivels ,by the way where did you get 2oz pyramids?

I for one seriously doubt the rolling of any lead,except for extreme wheather conditions like huge swells.Leads settle into the sands or the mud in case of flouderfishing.It never hurts including swivels, in that case look into the carp sections of tackle stores(webshop f.i.,some great swiveled leads there too.When fishing actively by retrieving your tackle slowly,leads follow and lines seldom kink but if they do,so what,leave the lead hanging from your end tackle and rod tip.Any twists will come out while hanging a few seconds before baiting up again.

no harm to add one. not essential but can help the hooklenght bellow the lead not tangling on retrieve when using light line in particular.

when fishing surf beaches your lead will roll around alot if you dont use grippers and the more swivells you use the less your rig will spin ,and the better chance a fish has of getting his chops on it has anyone ever gone for a swim to see their rigs at work? i,m sure alot of lads would wonder how we ever hook anything if they knew what they ended up like 100 yards out
