Had my first comp 2 weeks ago for my new club first year as member,we had it at killiney beach just behind dart station,on a sat evening 5pm til 10pm,and i must say its tiring when you can only use one rod(or im just getting old),i always had next rig ready but from baiting up next rig measuring catch writing size down and watching rod its non stop,in fairness its a great buzz,i was helping my father out aswell with his gear as he got tangled a few times,i ended up with about 12 fish alot were whiting and a few rockling,10 pm came packed up and results came in,i came third which i was chuffed with, cant wait for next comp!

Spare a thought for John1 who in an ECR comp on Killiney last year had 56 counting fish and at least half that again as undersize 8)
