My thanks to Hamish Lambert for the photo of Andy Harkins (right) and Neally McGonagle with a recent haul from a night's hand line fishing off Cruit Island in Co. Donegal! All the fish were salted and packed for later consumption.  August 2004.

Prizewinner! This is Eoin Beatty with a specimen Conger Eel of 30 lbs taken in Dingle on a running leger with a 6/0Aberdeen holding a mackerel cone with added oil.  Yep, that is a wee pliers as the previous Conger had thrashed their gaff!  September 2004.

Here's a fine 7 lb Pollack - better late than never, from May 2004 - taken by Damien Warren off the forum on a gilling rig with a large ragworm on an undisclosed wreck (mapepd by Luke Scully) on the Kish Bank.  The fish was returned alive and well.

Here's a tropical beauty - a specimen Triggerfish taken by Bill Ryan at Ross in Clare, weighing 3.28 lbs.  Having taken a few on stale baits scrounged from the end of his bucket at the end of a session, this one fell to limpet!  September 2004.

And just to prove that Bill Ryan is not bluffing, here is a nice pucture of the specimen Ballan Wrasse he captured earlier this summer in Clare, again near Ross, as per CFB reports.  July 2004.

Gentlemen clearly prefer eh.... Painted Rays, because this is the remarkable photo evidence of four of the six Small Eyed Rays caught and released by anglers at Ballinwillig.  September 2004.  Some nice early Codling to 1.5 kilos landed as well.  Thanks to Donal Domeney.
