From the small boats festival off Rosslare, here is Dave Woods from Chorley in the UK with a specimen 2.86 kilo (6 lb 5 oz) Ballen Wrasse, taken off the "Taurus" on crab on a 12/30 lb Daiaw Boat Rod, 7500C Abu reel loaded with 18 lb line.  September 2004.

Here's a nice strap Conger Eel from Greystones North Beach with Ed Burke in attendance.  Razor fish and squid strip proved to be its undoing, with dogfish and whiting recorded as well.  All fish were returned alive and well.  September 2004.

Okay, so its not a record breaker but this is Jonathan Moloney's first ever dogfish (doubtless not his last!) from the north beach again in Greystones, with thanks to Ed for the picture.  September 2004.

Probably another first here is the final member of the Greystones party, Vasu, with a nice non-pin Whiting taken in the same session.  September 2004.  Again thanks to Ed Burke for the photo.

Ballyreen in Co. Clare is producing some excellent fishing recently and here is Peter Atkins with one of seven (7) eels over 10 lbs hooked in a single session.  75 lb wire and a 6/0 hook holding a mackerel head with lots of ground bait did the trick.  October 2004

Apart from a recent 8 lb thornback, Ballyreen has also produce a fine 4 kilo (9 lb) Bull Huss for Peter, this on his first cast.  It took mackerel strip on a 2/0 hook off a two hook flapper. Apparently I supplied the hooks so it seems I was fishing recently!  October 2004
