Hi, I'm looking to buy a multiplier and have done a bit of research. As it's the first time I'll be using one I wondered if anyone had some advice? The 2 I'm looking at are the slosh30 and the Abu Garcia Ambassadeur 7000. Are there better options for around the same price range? Thanks
Thats easy so. The 525 mag, either the original, super mag or mag extra. Its your only serious contender for mixed fishing. It combines excellent casting performance with some serious winching capabilities. Its comparable to the Sloshes but much easier to cast and not quite as big. If you buy one of these you will not regret it...guaranteed.... :wink:

What your being advised is right...to answer your last question is easy IMHO...start off with either 20lb or 25lb line on the 525Mag until you get used to it.....then drop down to 15lb like most users. This will help you get used to it without birdies....distance will not be as long but, you will get used to it sooner.
all depends on what oil is in them mate ,i use a formula of tournament and yellow rocket fuel and i can tell you the reels can fly.anyone starting off should use stp 30 oil ,low line level and mags on full all the time ,until they get used to the reel after that its a dordle!!!!!cheers john.

No fine tuning required, the reel will run as quick or as slow as you need it to.[/quote]thats very good casting .i have often heard people say the penn 525 original was a very fast reel but i didnot have any problems with mine at all.i think a lot of people over fill the reel and dont put the line on level when re winding which can lead to problems casting.
