Any body ever taken any decent bass from the rocks at portmarnock/malahide what lure? is it consistent at all?

Yep, pleanty of times. It did not fish at all well last year and I have heard of only one fish so far this year. I find shallow running jointed plugs the best here as most of the water you are fishing over is quite shallow. I think that the problem with this spot now is that there are a few anglers fishing it from time to time and all it needs is for a few fish to be taken for the pot and the number of fish at the mark reduces quite a bit.

not enough people put bass back! nearly every bass i hear that has been caught has been killed? why?

what about the beach in portmarnock or the estuary in malahide lads are they worth a crack with the bait.
