where to get outboard parts?

where to get outboard parts?

Have a problem with my yamaha 9.9 4 stroke outboard and have tracked it down to be either the twin coil pack or CDi unit. Can anyone help me by letting me know if theres anywhere i can get these parts fast. Im not sure of the year, its quite old, but have the No. YAMAHA F9.9BE
669 L 400260
Any help would be great....

you could try kileen marine main yamaha dealers in Dalkey co.Dublin PH 01 2853908

they might help. is your engine a 6G9L OR 669L if 6G9L 1985. ONWARDS. 669L 1974 ONWARDS I THINK :wink: MIGHT BE WRONG :oops: HOPE THIS MIGHT HELP.

On the north side there is OB marine in Finglas. I've always found them very helpful. From what I remember a new CDI will set you back a bit.

669 is for 15hp motors and is as John said 1974

6G9 is for f9.9B motors...Yours :D and is as John rightly said 1985.

Try http://www.Marinshopen.se for future reference. Click on Modellguide in top right and take it from there. I have found this very handy in avoiding being fleeced by unscrupulous sellers.....

Thanks for the help lads..... the engine is a 669L....
I had an idea the CDi unit would be expensive, but im kinda hopeing its not that. Im gonna replace the coil pack first and hope thats all it is! :?
