Spent over 3 hours in 30-40 mph winds gusting well over that combined with heavy driving, blinding rain. Was wearing the AA smock over a fleece. No draughts and no leaks whatsoever. Even with the hood pulled tight around my face it didnt affect the headlamp I was wearing. Combine that with 2 huge pockets, front and back and fleece lined hand warmer pocket. Velcro straps to keep water from entering cuffs and keep it snug around your waist.
Super bit of kit, not cheap but well worth the few quid, I highly recommend them.

i have the bib and brace and like your self spent a few hours in horizontal rain and not a leak or excess sweat. coupled with this the ample pockets and 2 fleece lined pockets behind the breast pockets its an excellent piece of kit.couldnt fault it
