High pressure?

#1 Post by alancooper »

So - the first big high pressure of the winter - a settled cold spell with small seas for the rest of the week. Loads of coalies over the past few weeks in Donegal bay in the rough weather - but what can I expect to happen to the fishing this week?

Sean,
Got it in one - went out last night - very little activity but caught a dozen whiting. I guess fishing fairly well stops now until April-May.

Fishing never stops........ever. There should b a few fish of varying species arond all the time. What i would reccomend is that you find out what rig and bait u can target nearly everything on and stick with those until whenever you feel you need to change.

The whiting I catch - mainly from Portrush and East Doneagl bay are nine inches or so.
