People: Me
Duration: From about 11.30 am to 3 pm
Tide: In at 4pm
Weather: Dry, bright, cold, still frost on the wooden walkway in Culletons Gap.
Bait:Frozen Peeler, Sand Eel, Razor Fish, frozen mackeral.
Rigs:Pulley with razor, bomber.
Results: 1 Flounder, 1 Coley
Catch and Release:: Yes
Report: I had made a flying visit to Wexford to drop someone back from the airport and I made a deliberate decision to stay off the gargle that night. I stopped off first in Culletons Gap near the entrance to the wood at raven point and set up two rods- one with razorfish on a pulley, the other with crab and sandeel on the bomber.
Eventually I pulled in a flounder on the crab.
After stopping off for food, I decided to stop in Ballyconnigar. I was hoping there may be some codling around, or if I was lucky a bass. I had plenty of taps on the bomber rig, but nothing nothing happening to the crab/razor cocktail on the pulley.
Eventually I got a decent bite and managed to get a ccoalfish.
I had planned to stop off at few other places but I had to head on..
