Poolbeg Lighthouse- Dublin Bay

#1 Post by adrwdarcy »

Has anyone fished aroung Poolbeg light house in Dublin Bay.I have often seen large mullet swimming in the liffey side if the wall also I've heard that there have been some double figure Bass caught here in the past. Does anyone have any stories about this fishing mark?

bass on plugs/ mackeral and pollack to toby spinners/ flounder at cockle lake plus odd bass/ codling in the rough at the end to the right of the lighthouse plus numerous wrasse at times. doggies show too to a good cast. heard of good whiting catches in late autumn. hope this helps. forgot to mention- at the half moon swimming club bass fall to legered baits and the hot water outflow holds bass and mullet. i think that's enough for now!

species for 2009 (42)

species for 2011 (12)
species for 2012 (8)
best advice for catching species is girls dont like fishing and its hard to catch fish when you sell all your gear'
