#1 Post by lazycod »

Hi every one I am new to this site...I haven't been out fishing for a while(9 months) but went out today to dig some lug tried two of my local spots in ballyhornan and strangford after three hours of digging I got about four small worms I have promised my young lad that I would take him out tomorrow.Going to fish Newcastle has anyone any idea where I can get some bait. no wonder all the fish are going to disappear in 50 years someone is stealing all the lug???????

With the sudden cold snap the lug burrow deeper. I also found digging difficult this week.

happens every year as far as I can remember.
Although could also be that the spot was cleaned out. Kilshannig in the maharees is mentioned in a well known fishing book and was fine at the start of the year but after the holiday season was cleared out. If alot people use a spot that is going to happen. Look for other places. It'll be grand again next year probably.
