At the suggestion of various members and given the magazines will run a mile from criticising a piece of kit, here is your chance to tell us what you really think about a rod, reel, line, lure... keep it legal please!
Used these for the first time on the boat on Saturday Past, Was getting a Pollack a cast with them on Leadheads.... Fish didn't seem to take there time nipping at the tail either, Just Ravaged the leadhead and all... Will be getting more. 8)
Would you believe I know a guy who ledgers these and those awful looking Gulp! shrimps and while he doesn't reckon they are as good as natural bait if he's stuck he'll use them. He's had bass to 7lbs off the beach on them too!
We have tried using the Gulp! crabs float fishing for wrasse and they bluddy well work even outfishing normal hardbacks some days!
I had to stop using them for pollock last year - the pollock sucked them down every time and got gut hooked. Tried all sorts of hooks and rigs to stop it happening - had to admit defeat in the end. Lethal yokes spun for pollock, mind you. Other lures I couldn't even get a follow on....
for the bigger fish the berkeley powerbait ragworm in motor oil work really well to..., i hope they maybe bring out bigger worms of similar size in the gulp range
Not the BigPhil from Irish Angler mag, I'm the original, i swear!!!!
send pure fishing whatever photos you have of you with fish caught on gulp, with the lure clearly visible and you will get a free prize, a camera i think it is....
see the ads in recent sea fishing mags...

I may try that later in the year when the bigger fish are in. Too many small ones about now to be bothered targetting them. I find August and early September best, if I can get settled weather.
been using them for 1 mnth now, both rag, mack strip, lug and crab.
had a few with these manly on the lug and rag but they do take them deep. get a pack with postge of ebay for 3.50 not bad as 6-7 in shop.
also same bloke sells real lug and sandeel in packs that dont need frozen (if you now what i mean) had mixed results not tested long enough but great as spare in bait box or too bulk up a cocktail bait realy smells
Is that them baits that are kind of pickled in something pookie? I tried the worm baits to no avail the odd time, wondered what the quality of the sandeels were like though, could be a useful addition to the box for spinning them for pollack etc if you take a notion. Anyone try them?
