4th trip of 2024

#1 Post by MC »

for my 4th trip of 2024 I decided to fish a local pier that gives access to deeper water of the swilly. Yes I was hoping for a ray, even though its early in the season they are there in deeper waters. Anyhow after I picked up the wife from work I was off, quick drive of 20 minutes and I was at the pier, 10 minutes after that I was suited and booted to protect against the cold. I had baits in the water for midnight and had my first bite at 5 past, a doggie, busy night ahead I thought as the swilly is famous for having lots of doggies. Well I couldn't have been more wrong as for the rest of the night I just fed the crabs, packed up at 3am and headed home maybe I will leave it for a month to hopefully warm up a bit. Apart from the one doggie which meant I didn't blank I really enjoyed the 3 hours, quite relaxing, until next time tight lines
