Dublin beach

#1 Post by Greendag »

Set out on Saturday morning with a plan,I was gonna try a beach I’d regularly fished but at a different spot and at low water, hoping for a bass. It was a bit of a trek so I only took the minimum of gear, bass rod, sand spike, a few rigs and leads and ragworm for bait. The plan didn’t really work out, after a couple of hours of no bites I start making my way back up the beach and I came across a nice big gully, decided I’d wait a little bit and fish the entrance of the gully as the tide filled it up. It paid off after about an hour, rod bent over and I managed to land a crackin bass after it gave a great fight. Only fish of the day but was worth the walk :D

The crucial thing you did was keep your head up after the long walk with no success, the brain was switched on and you saw the feature - well done, fantastic bass
