West Co Limerick Bait and Marks

#1 Post by delmonte »

I’m heading to Newcastle West the weekend to visit my godson who keeps asking me to bring him fishing. Would anyone know where would be the nearest tackle shop or otherwise that might sell frozen sandeel etc?

I’m going to try Kilteery Pier. Has anyone fished that mark recently or have any advice on other marks in the area? I’m not too fussy on species as long as we have a chance of catching something. Don’t want this fella to think his godfather is a spoofer [emoji12]

Thanks

Angler's Curse is near enough to you, give him a call to check what bait is there first though.
I've not had much luck on the estuary marks on the Limerick side, so can't help you there.
But I'd try Beale/Littor if I was looking for somewhere from NCW.

Go to shannon side baits, mike has a better sea bait selection.

For fishing, that peir can turn up a few rays, glin is worth a chuck to.
