Mornington 13/4

#1 Post by kenf41 »

Tide low 10 20 pm
Weather cool
Fishing 7 30-10 pm
Bait dunne stores mackerel
Result zilch

Broke free to fish a local spot for a couple of hours. Saw earlier that there was a bit of surf and thought bass.
Alas nothing at all fancied my mackerel.
Baits untouched.

My experience on Mornington beach is that you have a good pounding easterly wind
to really pound up that beach

I have not fished in two years hoping to change that this year with anything ?

Haha. Was out this morning and saw a few sea trout. Hit one but my lure was a bit large for I think. 3 seals then arrived and stayed by me. Gives me a chance to look at local spots that I'd rarely fish

I've rarely fished it. It all seems a bit barren. No lug, rag or crab when the estuary has all and lots of small eels so just seems like there's more fish food
