Hi guys. So I'm heading to strandhill next week and am just wondering is there any fish to be had from the beach there? Also is there anywhere nearby to buy so bait? Thank

Re: Strandhill
beach is surfer country.
after dark, it can throw up flats and occasional bass. Big rip current, not a good wading beach.
Down towards the point, Ballysadare Bay, inside the point, on the flood, flats and odd sea trout. Crab is best bait, but hard to come by.
Dunno about bait locally, you might have to go into Bartons in Sligo.
