Storm a coming

Looking at the various weather outlets and the tracjectory of ophelia I was wondering what opportunities it may bring to the shore angler, will it be a feast or a famine depending on where you live, any thoughts

Should produce some good fishing in the days after on the south and west coast. Natural baits would be the key, worms razor and crab [emoji4], often had good bass sessions after a storm.

Can only imagine good things in the aftermath.
Fish apparently come close to shore to feed on the 'casualties' of storm surf - broken shellfish, dead fish, smashed crustaceans, worms etc etc etc, they all get washed up.
Haven't had personal experience as such myself but have heard manys a tale: double figure turbot in on the beaches, cod, bass.....
Might be a 'bit' of a weed problem to contend with but if you can manage to work with it then surely there would be deadly potential along the beaches and shores(?)

Thanks lads, being based in dublin im curious as to what effect ophelia will have on the east coast, i would imagine ifu drew a line from north wexford across to clare and looked south the fishing in the days after will be interesting to say the least, will the dublin and meath beaches benefit i wonder

Lots of weed on the beaches in Galway. Not sure if it's normal though

pretty normal this time a year - but there will be mountains of the stuff after the hoolie tomorrow

was out for a walk yesterday and the beach was covered in kelp, absolutely tons of it (Mayo) so imagine it could be an issue after the storm.
Took "before" photos assuming there will be something to photo after!
Stay safe and the feck away from the coast today (bloody kite surfers in Louth the first reported morons)...
