While we were there we didn't really target mackerel, but they should be plentiful from piers such as Cuan and Brandon pier, as well as from a lot of rock marks. We picked up a lot of nice pollack around Brandon Creek, as well as some small flounder in the Cloghane estuary. I didn't catch any, but I could see the Sea Trout jumping in this area, so they're definitely there. While we didn't go full bass-hunting mode, from everything I've heard they seem to be fairly scarce.
