Herring bait, how do you rate it?

#1 Post by seank »

Well just stocked up on herrings, as they seem to be killer for my new found interest in pike.

Anybody have any experience of using them for shore fishing? For flats, huss etc.

They are very pungent and oily I have found, and I'd imagine they be as good as mac this time of year given they are in season now.

Such good value to, picked up a kilo of em yday for 3.29.
Target for 2017: Tope, Bass, Specimen shore pollack, Specimen Sea trout, Turbot over 30cm, common skate
